CONCRETE DENSIFIERS

FORTI-TROWEL™

Downloads and Related Information

New technology colloidal silica trowelling / finishing aid for freshly poured concrete slabs.

Benefits of Forti-Trowel™

  • Special spherical nano-silica particles lubricate the surface of the wet slab.
  • Quicker helicopter trowelling with a smoother finish.
  • Reduces stickiness of low water content, plasticised, pozzolan enriched concrete to allow cleaner, easier roller screeding.
  • Forti-Trowel™ also creates complex silicate structures in the outer layer of concrete which results in smaller pores and slows evaporation of water.
  • May extend trowelling time in warm weather. Pouring concrete in hot weather (above 32 ⁰C )is not recommended
  • For optimal curing, of the slab apply Forti-Col EG™ to trowelled surface after the initial reaction of the cement has occurred (approx. 2-4 hours after pour).
  • Lower non-caustic pH is safer for people and surfaces.
  • Water-based, UV resistant and zero VOC.
  • Made at our factory in Melbourne, Australia.

HOW TO USE

  1. Apply a generous, even coat of Forti-Trowel™ quickly over the freshly poured concrete with a pump sprayer and immediately begin trowelling.
  2. If using a roller screed, spray an even layer before screeding to limit the concrete sticking to the roller and to provide a better result.
  3. Helicopter trowel as usual. Spray more Forti-Trowel™ in areas which are not working as well.
  4. DO NOT dilute. Forti-Trowel™ is ready-to-use and is at the optimal concentration. Adding tap water may hinder its performance.
  5. If you use Forti-Trowel™ to trowel the exposed surface of a prefabricated concrete panel, consider spraying the trowelled side and other 5 sides with Forti-Col EG™ for optimal curing, densification and anti-dusting.
  6. IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP: Your trowel will glide more easily over the surface – go slow near the edges and be careful not to overshoot the slab.
