How to maintain anti slip porcelain tiles

Anti-slip porcelain tiles have a specially designed micro-texture finish, so they have good wet slip resistance while not being too rough.

IMPORTANT: Due to the texture of anti-slip porcelain tiles, it may be necessary to use a black nylon scrubbing pad as well as suitable cleaning chemicals to thoroughly remove grime, contaminants, and stains.

1. Cleaning Organic Grime and Stains

Mould, food & drink spills, oils, general dirt, and body oils.

Outdoor Cleaning Instructions:
– Pre-wet the area with water.
– Use Oxitec-M™ (do not dilute).
– Apply generously to the area with a sprayer or water can.
– Leave to dwell for 10 minutes (but don’t let it dry out)
– Agitate the surface with a black nylon scrubbing pad.
– Rinse thoroughly with a hose or pressure washer.

Indoor Cleaning Instructions:
– Use Chemforce™ 5+5™ pH Neutral & Enzyme Cleaner – for regular cleaning add 50mL / 3 capfuls to 2/3 bucket of water (approx. 7 litres)
– Apply using a clean, well rinsed mop.
– On stubborn grime, use a black nylon scrubbing pad.
– Mop with clean water to remove dirt so it does not re-deposit.
– Chemforce™ 5+5™ can be added to water tank of machine scrubbers on commercial surfaces.
– For heavy duty cleaning/stains use a higher concentration and mop thoroughly with clean water to remove the dirt and cleaner. Change mop water regularly if large floor area.

2. Removing Inorganic Stains and Deposits:

Rust, efflorescence and grout haze (from installation).

Instructions for Removing Grout Haze:
– IMPORTANT: Eyeware and gloves should always be used – read bottle label and Product Data Sheet before using.
Chemforce™ TED™ (The Efflorescence Destroyer) is a special buffered acidic product which is powerful, but safer to use than other acids with minimal fuming.
– TED™ is very concentrated – ALWAYS DILUTE
o Rust and Efflorescence – 1 part TED™ to 10 parts water.
o Grout Haze – 1 part TED™ to 20 parts water. (10 parts if need a stronger solution.)
– Pre-wet the grout with water to stop the cleaner from penetrating.
– Apply diluted TED™ generously to the surface with a sprayer, brush or water can and allow to sit for 3 minutes.

– Agitate /scrub the surface with a black nylon scrubbing pad.
– Neutralize TED™ by applying Oxitec-M™ or ½ cup bicarbonate of soda dissolved in ½ bucket water.
– If outdoors, rinse thoroughly with hose. If indoors mop thoroughly with clean water to remove mess.
– Clean large areas in sections.
– Efflorescence and rust marks may require multiple applications of TED™ to fully remove.

Instructions for Removing EPOXY Grout Haze:
– Epoxy grout can be cleaned using the above procedure, but, if there is still epoxy residue on the surface, then agitating with Chemforce™ GR2 and rinsing thoroughly with hose or mop and clean water will finish the job.
